Centennial Park Expansion | Redmond, OR

SZABO Landscape Architecture was awarded the Centennial Park Expansion project in 2016 by the City of Redmond Urban Renewal Agency to be a key component of the Downtown Urban Renewal District. SZABO worked closely with a local task force to develop a design that connected the new City Hall and existing Centennial Park. Through extensive public outreach and workshops, the civic park was designed to incorporate large open lawn areas, public gathering spaces, shaded seating areas of various sizes, public art, a children's reading memorial, and a stage for city events. The design was unanimously approved by City Council and the park was completed in 2019.
